Farmers, researchers, advisors, enterprises, associations, decision-makers ... between 300 and 400 participants are expected in Normandy on 25 and 26 June 2019 for the second Agri Innovation Summit 2019 (AIS 2019). The event is dedicated to the contribution of the European Innovation Partnership on Agricultural Productivity & Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) for the transition to agroecology.
As a reminder, the first AGRI Innovation Summit took place in Lisbon in 2017
The AIS 2019 is co-organised by the French Ministry of agriculture and food, the association Régions de France, the Region of Normandy, the EIP-AGRI network and the European Commission. It will bring together representatives from EIP-AGRI projects throughout Europe as well as local actors and experts.
The event will allow exchanges on the benefits of interactive approaches promoted by the EIP-AGRI (Operational Groups supported under the Common Agricultural Policy and the Multi-actor projects funded by the Horizon 2020 EU Research and Innovation Programme) to the agro-ecological transition.
The meeting will be opened by the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, the French Minister for Agriculture and Food, and the President of the Normandy Region. It will start with a debate on the future of the innovation policy in agriculture and forestry.
Participants will be discussing the following thematic issues:
How can knowledge sharing, co-creation and dissemination of innovation be fostered at all levels ?
This event is cofunded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), the European Commission, the French National Rural Network and the Regional Council of Normandy.
